4:2:4 CLEANSING METHOD

This cleansing method is good all year round, but especially so in the colder months given the skin is more prone to topical keratin build up from the harsher elements.

Summary of the method:

Beginning by massaging an oil cleanser into your dry skin for 4 minutes, this allows the oil to properly dissolve the day’s build up. You then add a cream cleanser into the mix, working that over the oil cleanser for 2 minutes to lift the debris. Finally, the grand finale is to alternate hot and cold water removal for a total of 4 minutes (if you have the stamina to last that long— trust me it’s worth it). This might seem like top-shelf cleansing routine behavior, but that's because it f*cking is. Read more about the process and its benefits here.

MAGNESIUM FLAKES

Everyone needs more magnesium in their life considering it’s an essential mineral for over 300 biochemical reactions in the body and gets depleted easily in times of stress and inflammation. Oy vey!

One of the best ways to up your intake is through the skin, as it is more bioavailable to the blood stream. This can come as body spray, oil, lotion, or pure magnesium flakes dissolved in your bath for a nutrient boost.

MOUNT SAPO OIL

This is one of my favorite multi-use oils (I am a firm believer everyone should own a quality oil they feel they can use generously— no lipid skimping). I use it on my body, hair, in my bath, and oftentimes, as my sauna/bath face oil. It’s full of botanicals, has a light-to-medium texture, and smells like palo santo, clary sage, and ylang ylang. Heaven.

HINU HAIR OIL

As much as I’m obsessed with skincare, haircare follows close behind. Recently I’ve been loving this hair growth oil that stimulates strong strands with herbs and smells dreamy and fresh. Not too heavy or light, good to use root to end as an overnight treatment or lightly on damp hair for daily use.

FLEUR VIBRANTE BALM

My favorite balm and In Fiore best seller, FV is the OG. Potent carotenoids help fade pigment and scarring, occlusive lipids moisturize and protect, it’s perfect. Use generously as the last step in your routine—you should looked glazed as fuck. Additionally, no matter your skin type or concern, a well-formulated balm should not break you out, but instead provide your skin with the extra barrier support it needs to regulate water loss and repair itself. If you want to know more about this, let’s chat.

RETINOL NIGHT EMULSION

This one is like… duh. MV carefully formulated this to mimic the benefits of medical-grade while taking into consideration barrier function, microbiome, and immune response integrity. Use after hydrators and before thick occlusives such as oils and balms. Start with 2x/week and increase up to 5x if the skin shows no sign of reaction (person depending).

FACIAL ACUPRESSURE

Bring yourself back into your body, calm stress, and improve blood flow to the face by lightly pressing on these points—

  • Third eye between the brows

  • Temples on the side of the eyes and behind the ears

  • Cheeks below the eyes and to the side of the nose

  • Cupids bow directly above the lip and below the nose

Lightly press each area for 30-60 seconds while focusing on your breath, repeat if needed.

COMPLEXE DE FLEUR

A cell health serum that stimulates cell repair and production without being a harsh active (such as retinol). It provides essential nutrients to the skin and plumps the inner layers. Some of the star players are aloe, micro algae, rose, jasmine, and sea buckthorn. The skin draws it in without leaving a sticky residue which helps pull the thicker products layered on top into the dermis for that plump, expanded, and juicy look.

CREME DE FLEUR

This medium-weight cream is versatile and potent. It absorbs fully, reaching the inner layers of the skin while also fortifying the barrier function. When used without an oil on top its texture leaves the skin looking glowy, sans shine. Playing off of the cell health ingredients of complexe, this product aims to protect the skin from further damage and environmental stress. The natural anti-histamines calm redness while plant proteins build the skin’s structure. Some of the star ingredients are  olive squalane, calendula, oat straw, chickweed, elder flower, and carrot seed. As my regulars know, this is my deserted island product.
