Skincare— Served Two Ways

Well-formulated skincare works by delivering essential nutrients to the area (think vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, hydrators, and lipids). It should have an immediate effect such as hydrating, calming, or fortifying the skin. What’s not always seen in the moment is the catalytic action taking place on a deeper level. Progression happens gradually, as you meet the skin’s needs in small doses overtime.

What this can mean for you is—

  1. You should enjoy the way your skin feels directly following skincare application, but don’t expect the “change” you want to see to come instantly. Repairing damage and balancing the skin can take time.

  2. Stick with new a skincare regimen for at least 90 days to reap its full benefits. However, if you are having an adverse reaction (burning, hives, dermatitis) discontinue use immediately.

  3. Since skincare (and internal supplements) work by meeting both immediate cellular needs and playing the long game in repair and regeneration, let this act as motivation to stay consistent with your skincare and use it both AM and PM. Micro-dose your nutrients, it’s the way your body prefers it.

A good sign that a product is working for you is that you enjoy the functionality of it in the moment while the sustained benefits and gradual change appear with consistent use.
